Company ProfileWho We Are
The North Central Indiana Quick Response Team (NCI-QRT) is a Mobile Integrated Response Team (MIRT) committed to assisting individuals, families, and communities with taking an integrated and innovative approach to solving severe opioid and other drug issues. As of September 1st, 2019, Valley Oaks Health, Phoenix Paramedic Solutions, and a host of community collaborators are servicing Tippecanoe, White and Jasper Counties.
How We Differ From Traditional Approaches
This is a mobile ‘community-based paramedicine’ model which allows our team to remove the transportation barrier that many who are afflicted with Substance Use Disorder (SUD) experience. When it comes to recovery, we deliver. We deploy Peer-Based Recovery Supports (PBRS)* who’s life experience, combined with formal training, allows for a self-directed, strengths-based, peer-supported approach which evidence is showing is successful in winning over the confidence of a highly resistant population. The addition of clinical supports as well as wrap-around services offers clients a trauma-informed, multifaceted, menu of options to both initiate and sustain long-term recovery.
Where We Operate
We accept referrals through our hotline (765) 607-6771; via text message by texting ‘Ready’ to 708-232-6671; and via our Facebook Page @NCIQRT. We will be visiting potential clients: on the streets; at housing assistance programs; in correctional facilities; in emergency departments; and at many of the ancillary organizations who continue to build Community Recovery Capital* in these three counties. We strive to help our community through advocacy, collaboration, and empowerment.
