Overdose Awareness Day
Overdose Awareness Day is an internationally recognized day which began in Australia in 2001 and is observed annually on August 31st. Overdose Awareness Day (ODAD) spreads the message that the tragedy of overdose death is preventable. This is a day to acknowledge the grief felt by families and friends whose loved ones have died or suffered permanent injury from a drug overdose.
Indiana Overdose Awareness Day is sponsored by Overdose Lifeline. ODL has held an ODAD each year since 2014. ODL honors and recognizes lives lost with a display of photos and a candlelight vigil. We celebrate our loved ones with a light meal and support for each other.
Space is limited, so please RSVP: contact@overdoselifeline.org.
